Since a while my older girl like to play being sick. I tink she find out it was bringing her attention and play it well all day long.
"Papa, perut sakit!" (belly hurt) with a pitiful expression.
From the Chinese pharmacology from the side of my wife we have small drug for stomach ache. I'm not even sure I can call that drug, they are kind of light natural drug with light effect. They are in form of very small ball inside a tube, must be hundred of them in the tube and they taste bitter. An adult is suppose to eat the whole tube when sick.
Last week when my little one repeat once again "papa, perut sakit", I have play doctor with her. Giving her an auscultation of her belly and prescribe her 4 small ball of the bitter drug.
Which, at my surprise, she eat slowly one by one with water.
I was hoping the bitterness of the pill would had repusle her... I was wrong! The day after she play me again her "perut sakit" and ask for have the "obat".
I don't mind giving her a very small dose of the drug, but I don't want give her that every day.
I make my brain work, for the little it can do, and decide to go for the Band Aid solution. I strap one over her navel and told her: "yah, sudah tumbuh!"
At first she was a little confuse but shortly become proud of her new "obat".
The day after, in morning, she go to her mom and said:
-Momy, perut sakit
-Do you want obat?
-Tidak perlu (no need), and she lift up her shirt for show her navel covered with the band aid and said with a big proud smile: Sudah ada! (already have!)
