  • Spouse E-Visa payment

Hello, my indonesian spouse is trying to process my spouse e-visa but inmigration ask us to pay 150 dollars. She went to 3 different banks BRI, BNI and Mandiri but they all said they cant do this type of transfer nor know anything about this. I mean its the goverment inmigration itself who is asking us for dollars, how can it be so difficult to do?

Anybody can help us please? Thank you.

Edit: the problem is to pay in dollars, we could pay it in rupiah easily but they want dollars.

I did not have this experience before , so I will guess your spouse can try 2 options :

    - buy 150 Dollars (in a money changer for example) , to pay in Dollars ; or

    - go to a bank's branch where they operate foreign currency exchanges (I guess few branches deal with foreign currencies) , so your spouse can pay in Rupiah .

Thank you for your answer. The closest currency exchanger is 6 hours by car from home and she tried all banks around and none of them can help us. Im afraid we will end up having to hire an agent to do everything if we cant find a way to do it by ourselves.

If you end up asking an agent and he/she charges too much , I can send you my Indonesian friend's WA number . He is a tourist guide but he can do almost everything for a small fee (probably cheaper because here in Bandung everything is easily accessible) .
