Hi everyone . First of all I have a kitap with date to report may 2022 and have a regular ktp oa which expiry date is linked to the kitap date to report . So in may I will go for the "lifetime " kitap .An indonesian friend told me that the e-ktp oa is no more linked to the validity of the kitap and therefore does not expire .Does anyone has some knowledge about this as it is hard to believe for me .

Title : Ministry of Home Affairs Clarifies Policy on KTP-el Valid for Life and KTP-el for Foreigners , Oct 2019
[...The Ministry of Home Affairs through the Directorate General of Dukcapil spoke to clarify this skewed issue.
First, the KTP-el policy is valid for life, as mandated by the Administrative Law (Law no.23 of 2006 and Law no.24 of 2013). Article 64 paragraph (7) and paragraph (8), KTP-el for Indonesian citizens is valid for life, unless there is a change in data elements such as address, title, etc...
Second, the mandate of the Administrative Law clearly states that the KTP-el is also intended for foreigners. However, the KTP-el for foreigners has a validity period, adjusted to the validity period of the Permanent Stay Permit issued by the Immigration Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
Also on the KTP-el of foreigners, their citizenship status is stated, which is in accordance with the foreigner's country of origin.
Even though they have an KTP-el, foreigners are limited in their rights, such as not being able to vote and be elected in the general election.
Responding to the issue of KTP-el for foreigners, the Director General of Dukcapil ordered his staff to temporarily refrain from printing KTP-el for foreigners, even though the issuance of KTP-el for foreigners was in accordance with the provisions of the Adminduk Law.
"Issuance of KTP-el for foreigners should be postponed until after the Pileg and Presidential elections," ordered the Director General of Dukcapil, Ministry of Home Affairs, Prof. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh to his staff in Jakarta, Tuesday (26/02/2019).
He also reminded his staff to be extra careful, not only careful in issuing KTP-el for foreigners...] -
