  • Must go back to Indonesia for Kitap extension ?

Yes, i do understand that im supposed to live in Indonesia because i have Kitap based on marriage, of course.
But i had to come back to Finland in May cause my 85 years old mother alone in Corona...and im still here.
My Kitap and my entry/exit permits expire on December 4, and my
question is : Do i really have to come back to Indonesia to extend them ? Theres no exception in times like this ? No other way to do it than to fly back and go to immigration personally ?
Thanks guys, always appreciate your help .

The only exception I know is that , although foreigners in general cannot come to Indonesia now , you are allowed to come (with few easy conditions) . So I think you will have to come if you want to extend it .

Economically speaking it is not worth to come only to extend it . And I think it is not much important if you don't extend it , as it is easy to get it again . If you extend the KITAP you will also have a headache to come to Indonesia at least once per year (otherwise the KITAP wll be automatically cancelled) .
