I will try to be as clear as possible.
I am an American citizen.
I do not have a degree from a university, I went to a technical vocation high school and have been in the same field for 18 years,
I am planning to marry an Indonesian girl next summer. I visited her and her family and absolutely fell in love.
I currently work for a manufacturing company in USA doing technical support for our products. I basically work for a call center and help contractors troubleshoot our products and help guide customers.
I would like to work remotely and set up in Indonesia, but still work for the same company.
I understand I will need to pay taxes to the Indonesian government based on my income.
My questions:
Does the company I currently work for need to register as a corporation in Indonesia and pay any kinds of taxes?
Is the infrastructure in Samarinda capable of supporting something like this? I would be taking calls from the US and Canada. While I was there, I did not have any issues with my internet while I had WiFi.. Do they have the infrastructure for having cable internet?
Would it be legal for me to do this kind of work in Indonesia?
Are there any other questions I should be asking?
Thank you for your help. I've been reading these forums for a few months and haven't been able to find anything regarding my specific situation.
