My wife saw other pax and agent for company also paid. So she just paid what he asked. SKTT is IDR.500.000
Few month ago, I heard the Kepala Polisi already changed. Will see any change on the fee for SKLD tomorrow.
SKLD is IDR 100.000, nationwide. That's the price I pay and the price most users of this forum pay. Just refuse to give them more. Either they accept or you report them. Anyway, if you insist and don't leave them the choice, they will accept. They know they are in the wrong.

In this link: http://www.polri.go.id/perpu-all/perpu/pp/, look for the reference "Peraturan Pemerintah nomor 50 tahun 2010 tentang jenis dan tarif atas jenis penerimaan negara bukan pajak yang berlaku pada kepolisian RI.". Download it, print it and show them the regulation they should enforce.

After that, back to check with the lady and her advice to collect on late afternoon next day (20 March).
Same here, this is IDR 1.000.000 too much of what most users of this forum have paid their KITAS.
The relevant regulation concerning immigration fee is the Peraturan Pemerintah nomor 38 tahun 2009 tentang Jenis dan tarif atas jenis Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak yang berlaku pada depatemen hukum dan ham RI.

Oops... My bad... I didn't read it in full.

Apologies to you [email protected] The fee you've paid for KITAS + MERP is indeed the correct fee.

My memory are not so good already :P ... at first I thought the existing KITAS still III, because when the first week I got the KITAS last year. I put it in the purse as usual. After a month I found that the inkjet printed number and photo can't read anymore because of my sweat. A quick peek in my passport stamps, I saw (III). I thought still KITAS III. Actually that stamp is read Perpanjangan ==" means KITAS should be IV...

Then, I thought 5-6 week time before expiry for process converting to a KITAP should be good enough. When I submitting the documents last week. The lady said not enough time and also checked with others in the office. They said because our location is a bit far from Jakarta. Unlike extension only need go to KanWil in Tanjungpinang.

Anyways, when I went to KanWil in this trip have check with the lady about KITAP. They still follow the old procedure, but now they had a letter list down the required documents put under the glass of her table. After she checked, said I still missing one document “permission to marry Indonesian” !! from my country (BTW we married in Singapore when I was working there). I only know there is Absence of Marriage Record which I can ask my family to apply it for me. It will cost the fee for HK$140 for checking record and after 9 working day, pad another HK$680 for a Certificate. I will ask them bring it to Indonesia Embassy in HK stamp for prove first. It may take at least 3-4 weeks until my hand. Or maybe I plan a trip back there. Anyways I have to apply and collect HK$6,000 myself from government like Singapore government they did pay some money to citizen last year.

BTW, I also read someone mention “permission to marry” in conversion to ITAP thread. But forgot which post…

Batam also had many foreigners, for others government dept almost all are very friendly including immigration. But for police have to be careful. As I understand when I first time meet my wife many years ago and when that time her uncle (is CID) also transferred here, then later he transferred to Tanjungpinang. After that missing in action… no more contact… many of them are Q up want to transfer to Batam and they have to pay for it. After that, they have a target to meet. If not, will transferred to somewhere else again.
Just give you another example... many years ago SIM A for foreigners we paid for is IDR.70.000/year and then IDR.100.000/year. Then for the past 5 years already paying IDR.600.000/year some are paying IDR.650.000/year.

BTW, But I also know from one of the police from my friend, for foreigners from other Asean countries. They can arrange for a 5 year SIM at the same price same procedure. This is when my Singaporean friend did. That because few years ago there is an Asean meeting related to driving licence from Asean members countries are universal/interchangeable. And I heard from one of my Indonesian friend he use Indonesian SIM A driving in Malaysia. Stopped by police checked also no problem. When this started. newspaper reported many foreigners drive using their country's driving licence and warned by police in newspaper. Telling that... they have to convert to Indonesia SIM first. but no mention about validity of SIM as I remember. My country is not Asean member, so my SIM have to re-new every year. But I think I can use it in Malaysia next trip....

• Went to apply re-new SKLD this morning. Is the same guy handle as last year and unfriendly this time. return back my file and hand over a list to us. Ask we check first. Then he walk away.

Here is scan copy for list of requirements
list doc SKLD 2012.JPG

What is differ from last year is:
No. 4 Surat Nikah (did not required last few years for re-new SKLD)
No. 7 Surat Keterangan Domisili Asli (did not required for last 3 times for re-new. only asked from the 1st year)
No. 9 Pas photo 4x6 3pcs (before are 4pcs, now 3pcs)

Okay, have to take the letter from RT/RW first then use it for request Surat Keterangan Domisili tomorrow morning... I think need at least 3 copies (1 for SKLD / 1 for SKTT / 1 for KITAP later)

BTW, the guy said if already had SKLD no need for STM.

• Kitas Kirst Extension to Bogor immigration

Atlantis, do you know which regulation the Batam guy isrelying on to persuade his immigration office to process the MERPS at the sametime as the KITAS extension? i can trust Bogor Immigration with nothingandf last time around, they would not process the MERPS until the process forthe KITAS first issue was completed, which dragged things out another week orso.

I assume Aris is referring to his Buku Nikah of Marriage or a legalized copy ofit. Strange they are asking for the Surat Keterangan Domisili if they didnot ask for it first time around. As regards the photos, I would givethem more than they need.

Did I read right that the Catatan Sipil want 500,000rp for the renewal of theSKTT? That cannot be right, surely. I paid the CatSip in Cibinong agesture amount of 50,000rp for mine last year - and nothing at all for theissue of the replacement when all my documents were stolen July 2011. Icannot imagine the change of kepala for cibinong/Bogor would cause the adminfee to increase tenfold in one year!

On the Driving Licence thing, I have a particular interest if you are followingme about my Uk difficulty and their intentions to revoke my licence because Iam no longer living there. Yes, let us take the test and get SIM A fromPolres Cibinong but what if a Licence was obtained a different way? Ofcourse illegally but has anyone been obtained such a Licence and has it everbeen put under close scrutiny by the Police or other Authority either here in Indonesiaor elsewhere?

Sorry everyone for the typo error in my last post. I should mention SIM A which I had it since 1993, not SIM C.
Coz I bought a rechargeable electric motorbike few month ago but only driving around in nearby housing complex, not main road. So I always thinking how to getting a SIM C in mind, but I don't have motorbike licence from HK for conversion.

For KITAS & MERPS process time
I just share what the time line in this part of Indonesia for others user to compare. I used to working in Batam before. I believe the reason why how they can process the KITAS & MERPS at the same time. Because Batam had quite a lot industrial park, foreign investor companies & foreigners since 10-20 years ago. Many are Singaporean, Malaysian. Some of them used to travel back to own country every weekend especially those in high level management and Filipino, Japanese...etc also like to travel to Singapore for meeting friends and shopping during weekend. Coz the ferry to Singapore are around 35-45 minute per trip depend on which seaport you use. We also receiving all Singapore & Malaysia TV channels. Many years ago we use to wait for more than a week before we have the passport back for re-new KITAS & MERPS. Then when more new companies setup in Batam, more people are complaining the time of processing, at least I know it in my ex-company. Than later (around 7-8 years ago) we use to have our passport submitted on Monday and return back on Friday for KITAS & MERPS re-new after they move the dept to a new building for only handle foreign application in one place.

For SKLD
Yes, my Singapore Marriage Certificate are legalized. also stamp register by Dept. Agama then Catatan Sipil. For Surat Keterangan Domisili they do asked on the 1st time, not in 2nd, 3rd... but they change to ask again.
I think the change may related to the information I heard when chatting with an immigration officer. He told us a number of apply KITAS pending due the cases of fake marriage and reporting fake address.

For SKTT
Yes, IDR.500.000 last year. When first year he did not ask money, but my wife give him IDR.50.000. I also know from friends some companies pay for IDR.1.000.000/pax. Maybe they use agent.

As it has been said in many threads in the forum, fees concerning CaPil documents (akta kelahiran, akta perkawinan, KTP, SKTT, KTP OA...etc) are set by REGIONAL regulations and therefore are different in EVERY kabupaten or kota all over the archipelago. In Batam, the relevant regional regulation is the Peraturan DAERAH Kota BATAM nomor 8 tahun 2009 tentang Penyelenggaraan Administrasi Kependudukan di Kota-Batam which indeed set the fee of a SKTT for BATAM at IDR 500.000 since Agustus 2009.

Excerpt of the lampiran Perda batam 8/2009:

j. Surat Keterengan Tempat Tinggal (SKTT) bagi WNA yang memiliki Izin Tinggal Terbatas dikenakan retribusi sebesar Rp 500.000 (lima ratus ribu rupiah)

If I may ask, Mr Cibubur (and it's valid for any other users), try to make the effort to split your posts in several posts in the relevant threads. Earlier, you wrote a post about KITAS renewal in a thread about SKLD and your question about SIM can only derail the thread and conduse readers. Thanks for taking a bit of time to keep your posts relevant to the topic discussed. Also keep in mind that mods have a life and don't want to spend it moving posts from one thread to another. Thanks.
This is by the way the multiplication of off topics that had you missed that SKTT fees are set regionally. It has been said in countless posts that you may have missed, because they may be located in threads that have nothing to do with SKTT on the first place. Example: my above answer to your question. If you would have asked it in a specific thread relevant for SKTT we could be hoping that most people looking for SKTT informations would be aware of it in the future.

• Indonesian wedding endorsement from expat embassy

Hi there, I am a canadian expat living in Batam. I currently am at the proceding for Kitas II on a spouse sponsor program. We pretty much have the whole procedure completed, but today we had a surprise in Tanjunpinang.

The agent asked my wife for an endorsement of our legal indonesian wedding by the Canadian embassy! Does anybody know where to get that?

We have the Nikah Bukuh and everything is legal. I have my certificate of non-marriage prior to get married in 2009, but it seems it's not that they want.

As a general information, we were able to pass the proceeding so far without applying for the MERPS, by just getting a visa form for IDR 25,000 in case I need to get out of the country. Thus sparring us the IDR 1,700 000 multiple entry stamp as I do not plan to leave this year.

Any comment about that?

Much appreciated.

• You are absolutely right Atlantis and overall that is something I am very aware of. I had considered my posting regarding Kitas renewal was also relevant to SKLD renewal and that is why I worded my posting in the way that I did. I responded separately about the SKTT when I saw the comments by the Batam guy.

it seems from the posting above that the matter of getting authentication of the Indonesian marriage Certificate (buku Nikah) by the foreigners Consulate may be a further unanticipated thing we must do not actioned previously.

• Hi KanpieBatam,

May I ask few questions:
1. Is your wife (the spouse) or agent bring the recommendation letter which prepared from Batam immigration to kantor wilayah in Tanjunpinang?
2. Did your wife interview by the Kepala KanWil at Tanjunpinang?
3. So, the result is you got the approval from kantor wilayah and got the letter bring back to Batam immigration right?
4. Your marriage under which religion? If non-Islam, did your registered your Buku Nikah & stamped by Catatan Sipil @ Sekupang? If Islam, did you also had registered and stamped by Dept. Agama?

For the fee:
KITAS is IDR.700.000
Photo & fingerprint is IDR55.000
MERPS is IDR.1.000.000/year
Total IDR.1.755.000 This is what I paid

So you paid IDR.1.700.000 for KITAS, Photo & fingrprint? Is that including agent fee?
IDR25.000 is what kind of Visa?

(1) Here in this Forum there were already cases like that . Immigration want to be sure your country's government also knows about your marriage in Indonesia .
So you need to "register" (or equivalent) your Indonesian marriage in your country's Embassy , or register it in your country .
It is not a request from all immigration offices , but it can happen .

(2) Single exit/re-entry permit (SERP) or multiple exit/re-entry permit (MERP) are optionals . One of them is mandatory if you want to go out of Indonesia and return within the validity time of the KITAS .
You are mistaken about the cost .

Single exit/re-entry: IDR 200,000
Multiple exit/re-entry for 6 months: IDR 600,000
Multiple exit/re-entry for 1 year: IDR 1,000,000
Multiple exit/re-entry for 2 years: IDR 1,750,000

• May I just clarify the wording to go into the sponsor letter to be submitted to Bogor Immigration for the Kitas extension. I shall use the standard format I have used many times previously but there are some 'word adjustments' this time as it is a Kitas/Itas extension.

What do you state at the top of the letter to go with HAL: Is it just Kitas/Itas Extension or what? what are the right words?

In the body of the letter, it says this:

Memohon kepada Bapak Kepala Imigrasi untuk dapat memberikan alihstatus dari Izin Kunjungan ke ITAS atas nama suami saya; adapun datanya sebagaiberikut:

should I change the highlighted wording to ITAS EXTENSION?

This is a fairly basic thing, the rest of it I can of course handle.
