(a) The Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas is the KITAS . You said you "renewed" your KITAS , so you should have the KITAS (the card) before . It can be in paper or in plastic .

(b) I think that if they gave it to you , maybe , they will use/request it later .

• I'm looking for information about changing address while on the kitas.
We will not only 'just' move, we move to a different province, meaning after the move we have a different immigration office.
I have a few questions.

1. Does my husband change his address on ktp first before we notice the current immigration office?

2. Are there any costs at the immigration office for changing an address?

3. Is it 'that' simple (only talking about changing address at immigration) as going into our current immigration with our documents plus new ktp, inform them and probably fill in some paperwork, then take those docs/paperwork to the new immigration to show our faces with the information of our moving?

Thanks in advance

I never did this , but I think :
1. Immigration first . For Immigration , not informing them the address change is a crime (jail or fine) . I guess not having an updated KTP/KK is not a crime .

2. No .

3. I don't know exactly , but I suppose it is more or less that , except that I don't think the new KTP is necessary (a Surat Domisili , maybe) .

• Can I get a break down of fees for the initial wife sponsored Kitas. I looked through some of the thread but did not find current fees for this. Thanks for all replies. I saw Marcus reply for KITAP.

Your message is a bit confusing.

You say you want to live with your wife in Indonesia, and that you are his sponsor in Saudi Arabia. I'm sure you mean her sponsor.

There are large threads about getting a Kitas. Getting the right social visa, etc, is detailed there. Most of the time you need to get this outside of Indonesia.

Getting a formal job in Indonesia might be more difficult than you imagined. I have heard of some employment reciprocity among Asian nations, but don't know the specifics.

• On the official Immigrasi website http://www.imigrasi.go.id/index.php/...s-itas#general, it is stated that 1) itas can be obtained from either a B211 visa or a vitas; 2) no guarantor letter is required for the spouse itas as there is an exemption - there is also no mention of a requirement for bank account statements; and 3) an itas can be issued for up to two years. Can anyone confirm that these points are actually put into practice? Particularly point one, as there were some earlier posts indicating that only vitas conversions were now being processed in some regions. I'm planning to apply in Bali.

• But then I found this page on the same site, now I'm totally confused.... Seems to require both the guarantee letter and bank account statements. http://www.imigrasi.go.id/index.php/...a#requirements

• SocBud to KITAS w/KIPEM problems in Denpasar KanIm

I just wanted to let people know that we spent a morning last week at KanIm talking w/Pak Candara, and the following morning at KanWil talking with Pak Djunizar—and were told by both men that a SocBud visa cannot be converted to a KITAS using a KIPEM. According to Pak Candara, this is because Jakarta is denying these applications due to the fact that KIPEMs are given out w/o any control from Jakarta. Our options were explained to be: 1) apply for a VITAS in Jakarta, and once I get my telex, re-enter Indonesia via Medan for the KITAS; or 2) go to Medan and get my SocBud-KITAS conversion done there. Of course option 3 is to buy land in Bali and have my husband's KK/KTP moved to Bali, as that is what our particular banjar requires.

Today, however, we spoke with an agent (unmamed) here in Bali, who actually called her 'friend' in Jakarta to check if this conversion is possible, as she claimed—and lo and behold!—we found out that we can indeed get my KITAS using my husband's KIPEM!

So the story is: as long as we pay the agent fee of 5 juta, we can move forward.

Now, to me that sounds like the agents and Pak Candara at KanIm Renon have got something going on! Perhaps this is this old news...but we found it to be a rather extraordinarily blatant case of corruption...wow...
