    Volunteer with Amnesty International Indonesia
    Hi! I’m Nabila. I am an intern at Amnesty Indonesia. I am starting a new program called ‘Conversational English Program’. In this program, each of our participating staff or interns will be assigned to a tutor, of which at every session there will be informal discussions of various topics. All participants are at different levels, we have individuals with beginner level to intermediate.
    With that, we are currently on the look for native speakers to volunteer with us for this program. If you have any questions on the program, feel free to contact me.
    If you are ready to volunteer with us on this program, please complete the form included bit.ly/AIIenglishtutor

    Thank you!

    Interested foreigners , be informed that there is no Indonesian Visa specifically to do volunteer work . If the NGO does not provide a normal Indonesian Work Visa , you yourself need to get a special authorization from the Indonesian Immigration to do volunteer work with other kind of visa . Use of an incorrect Indonesian Visa is considered a crime (see below) .

    UU6 - year 2011 (Immigration Law)
    ..........
    Article 122
    Shall be punished with imprisonment of five (5) years and fined at most Rp500.000.000, 00 (five hundred million rupiah):

    a. any foreigner who deliberately misuse or engage in activities not in accordance with the intent and purpose of the Visa/Stay Permit given to him/her;

    b. ...

      Nabila , by requiring volunteers to be native speakers you are restricting (probably) too much the number of volunteers . I also think that it is your (or your boss) mistake to think that only native speakers are able to have "informal discussions of various topics" in English . Although , that in average , non-native speakers will make more English errors than native ones , I guess your colleagues need only to improve their skill to communicate in English , right ?

        If I understood well , each of your colleagues will talk to only one tutor , correct ?

        If so , let me suggest you to change this proposal to : make few people + few volunteers share 1 (or more) table(s) , in a way that your colleagues will have conversations with all the volunteers and conversations themselves too . We humans have bias about almost every subject , so in my view a kind of hang out meetings will give the opportunity to everybody feel/discuss somebody's else different opinions about different subjects (this is my experience I have participating in such hang out meetings @ The Center Bandung (Jl. Cihampelas 186 KAV 17 , Bandung) .
