Any Australians living in Wonosobo - or other Expats?

I am trying to find accommodation in Wonosobo for approx 1 week in June 2010 for 2 people.
The same three hotels keep coming up.
Everything I google does not bring anything new.
I also am looking for hotels etc in Yogyakarta also in June for approx 3 weeks.

Can't help you with Wonosobo. Ask Mas Fred about that since he used to live there.

For Jogja, I have stayed at Ibis hotel last year. It is right on the main street of Malioboro. Clean, friendly, priced fairly well, central location.

Just remember to bring a hat and suncream because it is bloody hot in Jogja.

No worries.
Budget and how basic/posh you want the place and I'll suggest a couple.
Start from Rp70,000/night for cold water and a squat bog but the hotel is clean and safe.

I was looking for something clean with european facilities ie, hot water and bathroom also with air/con. Would like to keep price under Rp 200,000 and must be in a safe area where we will not be bothered.
My partner is a Java girl and we intend to be married in the future.

But it's out of your budget.

Local hotel just up the road is semi western. Hot water with own heater in each room and sit down toilets for Rp150,000/night if the price is the same as when I stayed there.
I can check when I pop down there next week.

No need for air con up there but you may wish to have a light jumper handy if you wander out at night.
No real hassle of any sort up there unless you do something daft.

Don't mention to anyone you are not married. Illegal in Indonesia if you share a room while unmarried.
