Hi there,
I want to share Infrared Fotography, I have taken Infrared Photography around the world. but I will share the photos which taken in Indonesia first
Description:
People are able to perceive light as a color if it has a wavelength between 750nm and 380nm. Everything larger than 750nm is called infrared. This is not visible to humans. Quite different from our digital cameras, they are able to perceive infrared light and capture it on the sensor.
All members loving infrared photography are welcome. And all others too.
all photos are taken with Nikon D40 Full Infrared (I had somebody modified my camera)

Looks good. Two questions:
i.) is it not true that most digital sensors have filters in front of them that eliminate or attenuate infrared, meaning that one must hack the camera in order to take full infrared pix?
ii.) is there now not a Photoshop filter that approximates an infrared shot?

True.. but it does not filter the infrared, it (lens) refocus the infrared light behind the sensors
you need to modify your camera to take full infrared pix. as far as I know, L lenses in canon has this lens/filters as well
but if you don't want to modify your camera, you can use R-72 filter

I believe so, but I've never found this photoshop filter yet. I know it is possible to make infrared-look-alike in photoshop. but you can not get sky/surface texture as the real infrared.
you should consider visiting the U.S. it has wonderful national parks and scenery. think, you can be the infra-red Ansel Adams. If you donīt have an axe to grind, of course...
