I have used FedE x a number of times (usually for documents including my passport) and it was pretty painless. I think the rate to Singapore for a document was about US$25.I haven't tried the others from here.
I must send a document to the USA, not necessarily over-night, but quickly. I know FedEx and DHL both provide such services. Are there any others I should consider? Also if anyone has experience that suggests which service might be best, I would certainly appreciate the feed-back. Thanks.
PS Does UPS do documents as well as packages?

Between DHL and FedEx, I've founf the former is cheaper.
How about the regular Indonesian postal service?
Five-day Service courtesy of the Indonesian Postal System is what you want. One manila envelope with about 15 pages in it to the USA cost me Rp. 80,000 ($8) a few weeks ago.
Faster, Express Service is available, too, for more money. Of course with all services, you get a date-stamped receipt.
Ask at your nearest P.O.
Thanks all. I checked the rates for DHL, FedEx, and UPS. As Hombre noted the best rate was quoted by FedEx about $35 for up to 0.5 Kg. The rest were in the $40's. I don't know about the Indonesian postal service, PakRT, but 5 days is too slow for what I need this time. If I have time I will stop at my P.O. to see about their Express service.
Like most services, they are rather sparse in JakTim, but FedEx has an outlet in Depok on Jl. Marganda. Not too far from us. Thanks again.
