Hi Anyone seen any Jars of beetroot or pine nuts on their supermarket travels?

Hi RD, I love beetroot and pine nut in my salad. I will be in Jakarta around July, if you want I could bring you a couple of pack pine nut but I don't think I can with beetroot though. I could then posted for you or my sister most likely! Just let me know.

Beets are really available in tin cans. Here in Ubud, the supermarket carried the fruit itself, labelled as BEETH ROOTH...

Hey Little - thanks for that offer - very kind. I am not sure if I will be around in July..........
I am thinking maybe some one could offer a good alternative. I like spinach salad with pine nuts, shredded parmesan and a drizzle of balsamic and olive oil most days and have become a bit pendantic about it but I suppose some finely chopped cashews or pecan nuts would do so the best solution is for me to stop being so finnaky and adapt!!! Thanks anyway
