The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Great Britain,
H.E. Yuri Octavian Thamrin will have an open house on the 17th August 2008

anybody this side of the world going?

Or am I "Billy no mates again"

Arrggh.... sorry a bit late in reading it! could have gone there... leave it till next year then. Does the ambassador have the celebration every year?

You can join the Anglo-Indonesian society. They have events every month or so in London, last month there was a cocktail party for the new ambassador, next thing is a talk on textiles.

There is also a regular programme at Asia House, next event is September 25th with Sri Owen, reknowned cookery author.

Cheers SYG. I do have to make an effort. I am just too comfortable in my own little world. I would love to have an occasional Indonesian gathering... with the familiar smell and sound which I miss. I nearly went to Bali Bali last week..but then decided to take a train back home...and had the Whalers instead.

Whoaar...yes please... do post it plenty of time.. yeah I do need a good laugh after all the hoo haa with the Leh Bros, HBOS & Lloyds stuff...who will be next I wonder? it's giving me a bad headache..!
