Hello there to everyone,
I'm very grateful for the chance to be a member and be allowed to participate in this forum. I was recommended by a friend to join up when I was spreading the news about adopting out two small doggies rescued off the streets. (Please check out the thread under the Pets and Animals forum).
So I'm a confessed bleeding heart, partial to homeless animals, but also a transplanted Canadian, from Vancouver originally, and have been living here on and off some 15 years already!
Indonesia has been a life-changing experience, as it has been for so many other adventurers arriving here from distant shores. I was lured here by the incredible underwater vistas one can see all over the archipelago, but this country's special qualities and warm-hearted people have kept me enchanted enough to keep up an address here indefinitely.

All dog loving diver are welcome; the more eclectic the mix the better. I am curious as to how you avoided the Forum for your first 15 years off-and-onning Indonesia.

Thank you very much, Waarmstrong. It's good to hear that. Yes, a good question: where was I?? I'm afraid my memory betrays me...I'm sure I've come across it before, but only as a guest. perhaps finding a good home for these dogs gives me a purpose to get involved. It's an interesting forum, and very popular. My friend who directed me this way gave it a two thumbs up. I must say I wish I signed up much much earlier.

Many thanks Miss Sverige! That's a lovely compliment that's both encouraging and kind. I hope I can offer helpful info, but already I see there is so much I've missed out on in living here after reading through the contributions here. Indeed, the more I learn, the less I know.
