Jessie, as an animal lover I respect and admire your efforts, however I hope that you have been in Indonesia long enough to know that dogs and particularly puppies are eaten regularly by Orang Jawa so please choose carefully ...
Hello there Jackie,
Thank you so much for your kind message and offer to give Molly a home. I'm afraid I haven't updated this thread, and I'm so sorry to share the sad news that Molly went missing from the shelter and is presumed dead.
I went to pick her up two weeks ago as someone else was interested in her, however she wasn't there, and even the owner of the shelter wasn't aware she was missing as the worker there didn't report it. I talked to the worker (now no longer working there) and he said he tried to find her on his own when she didn't reappear one month ago but was unable to locate her. The small dogs were allowed to run loose, and an angry local resident had earlier threatened to do away with them if they went into his fields. I had thought they would be kept in cages, but the worker informed me another small dog that went out on the run with her returned unharmed to the shelter that particular morning.
Since this posting I have found a lovely gentle female white dog who was stranded on the median of Jalan Metro Pondok Indah and also a small male puppy that was disowned in my area- he is a small terrier. I won't be using the shelter anymore, so they are at my home while I look for new homes for them plus Desmond who is also still at my house. Desi is the perfect house dog, but male.
I'd be happy to send you pictures of all three, if you could send me a PM with your email address - I'm afraid the pictures I have are too big to attach, and I'm quite challenged IT wise to change their sizes. My apologies. I hope to hear from you.

Very sorry for what happened to Molly. I sent youna pm.
Sage advice, thank you, ohmdafyd. I would definitely like to meet and visit the home of a prospective owner before a handover, as I feel a moral responsibility for the dogs' welfare. Your point is a very important one that serves to remind us all that animals trust and depend on us wholly for their well being and we can't let them down.
(side note on the importance of this - one interested person in adopting molly and desmond last year was housing over 40 dogs in her home - I caught a glimpse of dogs chained to the cement floor when she slid back her garage gate. )
Check PM..

UPDATED: pictures of the two small rescued doggies seeking that special someone or family ...
They are still up for adoption and have just gotten all their jabs: rabies, parvo, distemper, parainfluenza, hepatitis, coronavirus, leptospirosis (until 03/14)
All their vet fees and immunizations have been covered by fundraising, so there is absolutely no charge for them.
All we need is love … and a place to call (a forever) home. An interview is requested. I’d be happy to cover any charges for material for their shelter or to keep them safe in a yard.
A big thank you goes out to the family that adopted dear Bogey and to this forum for posting this appeal.
