Actually, the US gov't has changed the rules for getting a visa - a lot of people, according to what I read, will now have to apply for a visa by mail, except for specific emergencies. The reasons given by the agency that actually is responsible for visas is clearly doing it to save money and, while they claim it'll speed up the process it will, in reality, probably make things worse.

Back to the main topic, though. My mom goes to Gambir every couple of months and she said recently they've been doing renovations there. Also, prices tend to be a bit higher there, and most of the food isn't much to speak of.

Sul1995, are you aware that the US Embassy doesn't accept US money?

How long are you able to stay in the U.S. without renewing your visa in country or leaving the country?

Not sure, but we never stayed more than a month each time.
