    Question Living near International Airport

    Dear reader,

I hope you can help me with a advice where to live. I am going to Jakarta with a friend upcoming november for at least 2 year to work at the airport. I would like to have advice for which areas are good to live. We have heard a lot of stories that Jakarta Central park has is a nice place to live considering we are both 24 years old, but other more spacious places outside the city are also okay. We would like to spend to a maximum of 700 euro's per month for rental.
What do you guys suggest where to live taking notice traffic to work everyday. I am open for any idea's

Thank you in advance for your help and time!

    zoom,
central park is a good choice, but i'm not sure about the price. another friend of mine (works in the airport too) pays 8 million for the rent only. + maintenance and electricity
...other option is taman anggrek , it's an older building, so hopefully the price might be lower.
will you go to the airport by car ( driving on your own, or by driver) or by cab?

or if you dont want to get stuck in the traffic, CBD apt close to emporium pluit is also an option . you will have more food choices there .. but the location is quite far from central ( where the party usually is)

Beside Central Park, you also can try Puri Indah Area, or Mediteranian Apartment not far from central park. Did you have transportation provide by company? If so you can try, Karawaci, BSD city, Summarecon Serpong, I also going to airport almost everyday, and live in Karawaci, it's very nice environment, but it's quite difficult to find public transportation to airport from here. If you work in Soekarno Hatta International Airport, I suggest you live in Tangerang area. I bet you won't make any deal with traffic jam in Jakarta. Actually traffic jam anywhere..

How long will you stay in Indonesia?

I suggest you look around Purih Indah. You can rent a nice house for about 400 Euro a month, but remember most landlords would expect 1 year in advance.

Its close to the toll you can get to the airport in about 30 -40 min, and also to Central park in maybe a bit less.

If you rent in Central park I think you will need to up your budget as the apartments there are expensive.
Tamen Angrek is within your budget, but is not my choice of places to live, the apartments have no balcony and no opening windows, so its not for me.

I lived in mediterania apartment tanjung duren.right Next to central park. 2BR fully furnished apartment cost 4000-5000usd/year. During no traffic hour(5-6am) i can litteraly reach the airport in 15mins.

sorry for putting the wrong info, ive just noticed.
    $4000-5000/year. Not month
