Babi kecap is my favorite, I make it myself often.

Its all home made, so it's kinda hard to find a restaurant who sells those foods. You all can come by at my place in Tangerang then. Just PM me and we'll arrange it.

swan_lake, speaking of pork. We woke up at 6 Am today and drove to Petak Sembilan to get our supply of pork belly and loin.

I'm sure that there are other places who sell it, but we found that it's far more convenient there than in other traditional market (not counting the market in Serpong and PIK ya).

Oh mate, I am slowly cooking a pork roast while keeping an eye on the forum. I took a 1kg piece of paha that I've rolled in ketumbar biji (coriander seeds) freshly crushed. In a big cast iron casserole, I've slowly cooked bawang bombay and bawang putih (onion & garlic) in a mix of butter and olive oil. I've cut my paha in 4 and put it in with the onion & garlic. As soon as it started to be slightly brown I've taken it out, cut it in smaller pieces and put it back with 5 potates (sliced is small cube), 3 fuji apples (also sliced), 40 cl of white wine, 20 cl of apple juice, black pepper, white pepper, salt, 5 baies seasonning & herbes de provences. I will cook it very slowly for about an hour+ or so untill the wine and apple juice reduces in a slightly thick sauce and has almost disappeared... if the kids and me can wait that long of course. It smells soooooo good!

Wot? You don't find pork in Jakarta? Ado'e kasiang... Pasiar jo saja...

You must understand other meanings of the word "Pork" to understand my intended, but apparently not completely successful use of the word "pork" as a pun in the Pork thread.

Unfortunately it would be the one of the empty iron cast casserole now. It has been cleaned by kids & wife in a record time. Anyway, I will be cooking pork roast again tonite but this time with a cooked in a sauce moutarde I think. You still have time to book a return ticket CGK-MDC-CGK to have better than just a picture.
Here is an idea of the recipe, though mine is slightly different.
