Doctor seems to want to force a C-Section. Opinions, please.

My first child was delivered by c-section, which we didn't want, after induction was attempted and failed. We believe the doctor deliberately manipulated the situation to increase profits.

My second child was delivered the same way, but my wife was feverish at the time.

If a doctor is telling you the baby is facing the wrong way so far in advance and that you'll need a c-section that is, imho, just irresponsible scare-mongering. Please do find a doctor who's not out to rape your wallet...after slicing open your wife.

We had a doctor we liked in Jakarta. However, living in Bandung makes it difficult. Heck, if it's the weekend here, I'm even worried with getting to the hospital here. We're on our second hospital here, and at least they're going to try and do natural first. My wife is doing some yoga like positions recommended. Nothing major, movement-wise, yet.

FYI, if you have a c-section, you can still give birth naturally after that, as long as the doctor is aware of the extra precautions necessary for it. However, if you have two c-sections, it's said you can't have a natural birth again because the risk of a rupture is too high.

The baby came this morning. We tried for 10 hours the natural way, with the last two with a drip for inducing labor. No luck.

Did the C section, and all is fine. Anna weighed in at 3.6 kg. No wifi on any floor I was on, so just got home, and thought I'd report in. I've had 2 hours sleep in the last 2 days, so I will crash quite soon. Thanks to all who gave advice!

A happy resolution indeed. We had the same scenario, same treatment plan, and same outcome right down to the sex and weight. I'm happy for the three of you.
