i think its a great idea ..as an owner of a small private school, i have seen more demands from parents to use expat teachers for english classes. After searching for almost 6 months, finally i can find a good agency with a reasonable price and good teacher. I could save much time if there is a website as you mentioned.

Dhsavio, if you're looking for teachers, an advert on here might be a good idea.

tester: this is something a few International teachers have been talking about for a while ( or something similar) and there is a need. The difficulty will be how to make money from it. Without going into a big long discussion at this stage as it is a business we are looking at but one of the considerations is who are you working for. If the schools are paying you to find them teachers you can not then turn round and advocate for the teacher against the school. Decide on who you are marketing to first. Good luck.

Ya like ajan.com in Thailand, its well done free and has so much honest info on it... o but the schools will not like the honest part.. I was just looking at an ad today, keep in mind this seems to be posted every month:

We have had a low turnover rate to date, meaning our existing teachers must be happy with the current package and view it as competitive**bla bla******. Ten percent of your salary is withheld from the first month to the twelfth. This is to ensure that teachers complete their contracts and have sufficient funds at the end to buy a plane ticket if they so desire.
It goes on abut how nice Jakarta is "elegant residential district" "a maid is very affordable (no more ironing!)" I just get a kick out of adds like this.

10% held back to ensure you complete your contract and have sufficient funds for a plane ticket? Isn't that extortion and isn't a plane ticket part of the deal? Contracts love magic markers.

I think the adds are aimed at the new teacher who has not yet learned to read, its a bit like the "we hold your passport and degree" or
"you pay the tourist visa and we will get the other one later"

they getaway with is as we do lack a good web site to inform expats who want to come. very few find this form, maybe it never occurred to them to look for info and they the job will help them. its live voting is a right and its your freedom and say in the gov, they never tell you that your chose is based on the info they provide you with.
