Jim, does your teacher speak Indonesian too? I need to start learning. Don't think my Russian or English can help me on the streets.
Well, lucky me I love to be driven around the city and can spend ages in my car. Took me 30 min to just pass Ambassador from my hotel and start moving towards Kemang village. Lovely....I love back streets....so authentic. Sales ppl and Food looks scary...is it really eatable? I wonder if locals have spacial juice in their stomach to stay alive after every meal. Well...I guess I have to stop complain about my simple life. Lol
Lubbi, hope you're ready with your pills for food poisoning, just in case.
After sometime, you'll get used to the local food. You only need to get used to.
Advice: for your first couple of weeks here, don't eat anything from the street side vendors and only drink bottled mineral water from trusted brands or bring the one that your hotel provide you.
If the avatar is really you, I dont think any man would be so mean to you down here Lubbi....

Sweetmaria, I am very good with taking Asian cuisine just not sure if I would ever try street food ( I mean not the little restaurants I am speaking about little food carts.) I do have some treatments for nausea and etc.![]()
