Default Where to go for a team retreat near Jakarta (2D 1N)?

    Hi everyone,

I volunteered (still don't understand why/how my hand raised herself at that particular point of the meeting...) to organize our first team retreat. About 20 people. Some time in November, going Thursday and coming back Friday. It should be out of town but not too far from Jakarta, and offer some "fun" activities.

If anybody has a location suggestion, that would be very helpful! Thanks in advance

Try Lido lake resort if you have good reasonable budget, ask them to organize everything - then you can also enjoy.

How far is not too far? There's plenty going on in and around Bandung (Lembang - flying fox, paintballing, volcano etc..). 3 hours on the train. You could spend that time just getting out of Jakarta in your car :-).

There's also a hotel that covers it all http://www.tripadvisor.ie/Hotel_Revi...Java_Java.html

    Good luck.

Thanks for the ideas! I like the Bandung idea, as many people of our team actually live in Bogor...

White-water rafting on the Citarik Riva', then transfer to swanky hotel in Bandung for meal and meetings.

No question Bali. It's near Jakarta. The resorts do this kind of thing all the time. Travelling several hours by car from Jakarta to some inevitably run down resort with suspect food handling is not a retreat, it's torture. You'll be a hit with Bali.

I wish we'd go to Bali, but already my suggestion of Jogja was ruled out as too far... I think somewhere around Bandung will do, it's just one night anyway

Bandung -- you can start early morning Thursday and come back Friday night. Incase you decide Bandung as an option, I can share further details.
