howie, to me all those entertainers are not just singers, but a brand. .. and it's how they plan how to sell their brand image to the customer what matters.
i.e mariah carey was planned to have the image the 'good girl next door' , madonna has the most clear brand image plan. yes they are combination of weird good and bad but there is always one thing that they need to sell.. otherwise they could not get the targetted customer ..

maybe you can define what do you mean with 'bitch', 'naughty girls' sometimes could also be associated with 'bitch', so are 'it girls'

Maybe he is a glutton for punishment. Maybe for him, her other qualities (usually for woman like this: drop dead gorgeous, she is his perfect match in other things, great in bed, etc) outweighed her ungrateful, selfish, cheating ways. Who knows and why do you care if I may ask?
