Question "KAWASAKI" Disease. HELP!!! Any International hospitals out there that can treat?

    Hello.

My son is about 10 months old and he's diagnosed with "Kawasaki" disease and is now being treated at a hospital in my home country.

Although he is scheduled to be discharged in a few days, he needs to monitor his heart condition for a few years to come.

He and my wife will fly to Jakarta in a few weeks to live here with me.

    Now, my question is this.

Is there ANY International hospital in Jakarta that has a good doctor and good facilities that have had experiences with KAWASAKI patients???

If there is any, please let me know.

    or e-mail me directly!

    Thank you so much!

Check with SOS International here in Jakarta. www.sosindonesia.com or www.internationalsos.com

They have Technical Advisors = not-Indonesian doctors who can certainly help you, they are called Technical Advisors as they are not allowed to practice in Indonesia.

I might not like my government, but I love my country

Seems like a pretty rare condition. Perhaps your wife should stay where she is, near proper treatment, until you have established that the expertise exists here.

    Thank you guys.

    Your comments were quite helpful.

Please try to continue to find out some information about which doctors/hospitals have had experiences with treating Kawasaki-diagnosed patients.

Try Omni Hospital Alam Sutera, it's an international hospital and it has a Kawasaki centre.

Not very close to Pondok Indah. It would be a good 40mn to 1 hour by car from Pondok Indah.
