Thumbs up for Tempo to dare to publicize the story and write about the implication of Bapak Jenderal bintang empat... Hope that their office won't be firebombed as it has been the case when they uncovered the story of the rekening gendut, publishing that at least 6 police general had fatty bank account with millions of dollars in it.
At least, this time the police didn't ridicule themselves by trying to buy all existing copies of Tempo.

Police and military personnel living beyond the means of their counterparts in developed countries are ubiquitous enough. One need not read Tempo. Just look all around you.
Its a hard row to hoe. I know Singapore and Hong Kong are smaller and with different heritages, but if they can clean house, maybe there is hope for Indonesia.
