Rp. 500,000 to 600,000 in USD is around $52.00 to $62.00. I could be wrong, but your rate expectation seems a bit low.
Anyone know of a reliable rental shop that rents Mios or Scoopy for abt 500-600,000 idr per month?
I am looking to rent long-term, and want the rental to include basic maintenance/ servicing (eg. engine checks every 2 months)
Pls let me know! Thx

most "rental" in JKT seems to be a kind of a lease. Hence they're usually for new vehicles. Expect about twice what you're asking. I looked at renting a motorbike, but unless you're in Bali or know someone, it's tough to rent.
Renting a motorbike in Jogja is cheap, especially for long term. I can't remember at the moment the exact price I am used to pay when I am in Jogja, but the price quoted by the OP doesn't surprise me and seems to be on par with what I would be renting my motorbike for long term use in Manado if I would like to do so. Manado is a much more expensive city than Jogja.
Daily rental prices in Jogja start from IDR 30.000 to IDR 50.000 depending on the type and condition of the motorbike. It quickly decrease if you rent it for long term. The main problem for the OP would be to find someone who is willing to properly service the bike as per his wish.![]()

A: I had a tough time finding one to rent in Jakarta, you know of anyone?![]()
Could be wrong, but I am thinking a rental these days, especially one that included service, would be at least double what the OP quoted. Maybe not. Only thing to do is check it out -- boots on the ground and all that.

Around 600/month is standard in Yogya, you will have to look around to find the exact bike you want; try in Prawirotaman or check www.yogyes.com for the larger companies.
