Try to have a second opinion from different doctor. I suggest you could see dr. Salim at Abdi Waluyo hospital. My wife had similar problem, dr. Salim gave an alternative medication . She is well now without surgery. Bring along your mri result.
Hi all,
I had a severe back pain around two months ago, after doing physio Therapy for a few time it was all good and everything back to normal. Around a week ago I got a second attack and this time the doctor decided to keep me hospitalized since I couldn't move without feeling extreme pain. After blood, urine, x-ray, EMG, MRI the doctor told me that the pain was caused by compressed nerve on the lower side of my backbone near tailbone, and I need a surgery to fix it.
I was shocked, I didn't think it was that bad, and I don't want a surgery, since it still have risk, the worse I heard is I may not able to be pregnant, I'm only 29 and I do want children.
Anyone have any experience on this? maybe can give me pointers what is the fact what is the myth, is it possible the doctor is playing me? and what should I do? can I avoid surgery? is there an alternative aside from surgery? I am so nervous that any info that you could share will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Chi

hmmmm my mom has that issue too.. and i have some friends who also face that issue.. some therapy from chiropractor should be able to help..
meanwhile, yoga , swimming are some activities that might help ..
from what i know, those nerve and backbone issue came because of the wrong sitting position . I had that issue too sometimes but then i went to some massage alternative doctor and did some lite yoga. .. after 3 weeks those pain were gone ..
wish you could get healed asap

Thank you so much for all your tips, I'm really into acupuncture so I probably will try that first, then I'll try chiropractor (which I am lucky enough to fall into a discount package in one of those coupons sites). I'm going to see another doctor for sure, but I'll try all the alternatives also, because I'm hoping to function normally as soon as possible.

Maybe you should try physiotherapy.
Coz what you're having is one of nerve in-pitchmen issues.
If i can recommend, come to EastWest Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation clinic.

I've been moderating this forum for the past 4 years+ and can't recall anyone mentionning you or mentionning that they have used your services. I suggest that you ask to "most of the expat" of this forum that you've healed to confirm how great your services are.
I also suggest you to have a close look at our Posting Guidelines and advertisement policy. I have checked your recent posts and will delete all of the one peddling your website.
