But that Toyota Alphard is not too cheap either.Used ones they still fetch IDR 500+ juta
I would definitely chose the Toyota over the expensive "hey look at me I can afford a car worth more than most houses", model. But that's just me... I'm jealous I can't afford a Range Rover Evoques. Love that car!
But my reasons would be about practicality. You say you have a driver, so you will just be sitting in the back hoping for a comfortable ride. The Toyota example above looks like it would do the trick. You'd have plenty of room for your minibar and coffee machine.

Yeah...especially if you have kids...the Alphard has so much room to move. Just watch the side mirrors...get stolen regularly...

The ideal car? An UNIMOG.
In Jakarta?
Anything with a driver, wetbar, latrine, tinted windows and cold A/C.
Oh...not my prob.... but with kids........'DVD'
EL_G promised me half of his (future) Euro Millions price money. So I just ordered the black Bentley in the Pacific Place showroom. That comes close David...
A Unimog is perfect in Jakarta. Rarely will you need to drive over 30mph. You can even drive it at the minimum speed limit on the toll roads (55mph) albeit with very loud whining noises from the gearboxes (multiple ones, yes) and the engine spinning near its max rpm.
Man...I just googled Unimog...you could drive OVER and ON the traffic in one of those suckers!! Problem solved!! (Until everyone buys one...what anarchy and chaos would that be!!)
