Related to this thread: I'm only in Indonesia for three weeks, but I would like a Telkomsel prepaid sim card for my iPhone 4 with at 500mb of data or more. Does anyone know the best place to purchase this near Seminyak, Bali?
Also: I am coming from Canada - do I need a voltage converter for my computer / phone adapters? I have the right plug adapeter but I know the voltage is different..
Thanks!
You can really buy these prepaids everywhere; there are malls, small shops (next to bakery at Bintang supermarket), street vendors (who might screw tourists), and even at the airport.
Btw: texting (sms) to the US & Canada from Indonesian network often fails. The TELKOMSEL VoIP access code is 01017. So then you call 01017-1-xxx-xxxxxx
About the 110V: if you look at the sticker on the back of the adapters you are using, you will see the voltage they are supporting. Very often that is 110-250V so then you will be okay.

i used matrix internet connection.. for me, it's the best i have ever used so far. there's quota based on their rule, but in reality , no..
speed is quite ok, since i live in the suburb of jakarta. but when i brought it to jakarta, the speed is much better.
and the good thing is i only have to pay 110 thou. ( it's the old package price)
