    Default Got wood?

Okay so here's a fun one. I'm looking for lumber; but rather specific.

I need to find a place that sells rosewood, maple, and alder that can be cut to size, and is properly cured - meaning that the wood is dry, and not as you often find it too humid so it will shrink and crack after a while.

    Any leads?

Funny that, didn't know that squirrel was a wood guy Even funnier when you consider I want to see if I can get the proper woods to build bass guitars :P

Ok... I spoke to him and he wants to know how much wood you need?
He has a friend who makes guitars and his friend will know where to get the specialist woods...

I hadn't thought ahead that far to be honest, just wanted to know if there is proper cured wood out there. The actual kind of wood doesn't really matter all that much, you can build a bass out of anything. What matters is that the wood has been dried out, otherwise you build a bass and a week later it snaps in half on it's own :P

As far as how much, initially I'd say enough to build one bass - I'm not a woodworker so it's more of a "I wonder if I can do this" thing :P

Having some leads on a place that sells the proper woods would already be a great start, right now finances aren't really letting me move ahead on it :/
