Hire a Personal Assistant?

I'm planning to stop work and just study Bahasa at a university in Jakarta for a year. While doing this I want to work on my hobbies. Is it possible to find someone who can do the following full time?


Take care of my almost non existent schedele

Do some random errands
Browse the web for stuff for my own websites. I can do the technical stuff. I just get too distracted and unmotivated easily.
Be my photography/video assistant. Possible travel.
Be professional and friendly
Other personal assistant stuff


I'd like to have someone full time and at my apartment or elsewhere even though they would probably work less than 5 hours every week. Seriously, they will get bored. Ideally, I'd like to find someone who is creative and would like to develop photography and video skills with me, perhaps a student? I want this to be paid because its much more uncomplicated that way. Will this be easy to find? How much would I be expected to pay a person per month?

it's hard actually, because you want someone who is professional, and many professional will make their own photography.
if you're looking for student, you will get a hard time with the full time part.
they can't do it that way.
what i highlight in this thread are :
1. you have to give it a try, because for me, it's a rare occupation. i thought you're looking for a maid or secretary (when i saw your title)
2. how much are you willing to pay? because of this rare occupation, i don't really know how much you should pay. so why don't you set the bar.

I used to work as a Personal assistance, have done it twice to an american here in jakarta. met them from the forum as well. the first one i only got $130/month but my job are simply making phone calls and errands once in a while(i sometimes got $50-$100 bonus after completing a SINGLE project) the 2nd place I got $500/month (full-time). All of this are not include phone call pulsa, phone internet package, transportation, lunch, accommodation (that time i have my own place so they helped with my rent) and travelling expenses (if i have to follow them abroad), and bonuses. Too bad that this two didnt last long as the job progress I needed something more. everything ends up nicely; I quit from the first client because they cant pay me more and the wife says that im over-qualified. My 2nd boss return to usa and im pursuing tutoring carrer at the moment.
Professional personal assistant will get things done, you want them to be smart, funny, cool, clean, understand many things, up-to-date to recent news, able to talk about snellen chart while ordering another type wine because the first wine choice isnt enough for the whole guest at the party tonight and able to use your language flawlessly?
you expect them to be good then you better be ready. It'll all come back to you. I know a lot of PA who make more money than me (and yes im locals).
