I like that article. One reason is that it is not only Americans who believe in U.S. exceptionalism. Sometimes the world acts surprised when the U.S. acts as...well...like a regular country, that is, in a naked and raw pursuit of its own interests. It is not only Americans who hold the U.S. to a higher standard, but also segments of the world. The U.S. is often accused of hypocrisy and double-standards. Yeah, so what? And the sky is blue? Given "system" and its imperfections, isn't that how countries ought to behave?
