Hi Everyone - we are moving to Solo from Australia

Hiya!
We are intending to move to Solo later in the year and am excited but somewhat nervous too.
We = are Husband and Wife in our late 30's and have 3x furkids, a black labrador and 2 cats who will be coming with us.
My Hubby came from England originally but has lived most of his life in Australia and I was born here so other than having lived in different states in Oz we are new to becoming an expat and would appreciate any advise that those more experienced can give us

There isn't really anything specific people can give you advice with other than learn the language, forget your way of driving and make friends. Browse the forums for any issues you may have and I guarantee you'll come across an answer.

solo is a nice city .. i went there for vacation several times. thanks to jokowi the city mayor, who has rearranged solo into a better city .

If you intend on bringing your pets with you I would suggest that you start the export process as soon as possible. All your pets need to be vaccined against rabbies and this takes some time. Also be prepared to pay a lot of money for that. In OZ, you cannot do the process yourself by law, you need to use an export agent such as jetpets. In Indonesia, you can do the process yourself but it's quite a headache if you are not used to dealing with Indonesian authorities. Most people use a pet import agent such as Groovy or Jakpetz, though I don't know if they operate in Solo.

For info, we paid over AUD $2,000 for our cat including vaccines, export agent, transport and import agent.
