I just got one of the "I looked at your house, call my husband to negotiate the price" type of sms.
Anyone curious to call and see exactly what their scam is, feel free.Originally Posted by +62 823-2454-5506

Scammers looking for cellphone credit and the house price negotiation are quite common. The nastiest and probably the most effective SMS scam is the one asking especially businessmen to transfer money to a certain account as if it's for an already agreed business deal; the perps are apparently looking for somebody who's mentally exhausted by work to do that. The banks probably want to keep some info from customers who have just terminated their account there for some time to come; few of them could probably be some of these scammers!
the wisest thing to do is just to ignore it. i get like 10-15 sms everyday offering loans, scams and stuff like that, plus phone calls from telemarketers. annoying at first, but what's the use of complaining? i delete the msg immediately and ignore the calls from random numbers. i just hope it wasn't one of my client
i've heard that content providers are the ones behind the mama minta pulsa scam. not sure if it's true...
