Hi
welcome
nice introduction there![]()
Greetings Everyone,
A welcome email from Living In Indonesia Expat Forum Moderators and Administrators kindly remind me that all new members need to introduce themselves and also bearing in mind that the purpose of the Living in Indonesia Expat Forum is to assist expats with their lives in Indonesia, I hereby wish to introduce myself.
Personally, I consider myself a positive, cheerful, straightforward, good person and lead a healthy lifestyle with many other interests range from reading, doing pilates, going out with friends & family (good times and fine dining), watching movies/DVDs/performing arts to traveling.
Professionally, I am a full time administrative assistant with 20+ year of experience and back in 2009 I gave my sleepy brain 'an adrenalin shot' by attending legal translation courses and here I am now also as a freelance translator, interpreter, transcriber and note-taker.
I am registering myself in this website with the hope that I might be of a service to all members in term of their translating, interpreting, transcribing or note-taking purposes. However since I work with multinational expats so I might be able to offer your members with additional advice/insight regarding their stay in Indonesia. Also the fact that I love traveling with many traveling communities then I might also be able to offer your members similar advice/insight/suggestion regarding their travel plans in Indonesia.
Well, that is all. Feel free to write in.
Wish everyone a pleasant life in Indonesia.
Cheers,
Susi

Hi
welcome
nice introduction there![]()
I'm just trying to be nice here. That doesn't mean that i'm a nice person. I have my own rights to be in my comfort zone.
Susi,
My wife and I have been living in Madiun for the past 15 months working as English teachers for Peace Corps. My past experience is Civil Engineering and hers Business Administration. We would like to work in Indonesia outside of teaching next year when our service ends.
Please share any insight you have for job hunting in regard to the business or engineering fields. Also where in East Java can we run into Expats in a social setting?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Daniel Gable,
Thank you for your introduction.
You may wish to send an introduction and CV to headhunters in Indonesia (http://community.siutao.com/showthre...ead-Hunters%29). I have no idea where in East Java that you can run into Expats in a social setting but you might want to check their restaurants for possible contacts with the expats visiting the place (http://www.eastjava.com/business/res...s.php?idkat=23).
You may also wish to contact this site's administrator for further advice.
Hope above helps a bit.
Cheers
Susi
