Default Help Please! Most child friendly apartment - Pakubuwono View or Senayan Residence?

    Hi all,

We are moving to Jakarta in 3 weeks and have been offered a choice of two apartment blocks by our employer, either Pakubuwono View in Pondok Indah or Senayan Residence (no room for negotiation outside of these two so we have to go with one of them!).

We have an 11month old son and another baby on the way so most important for us is that they will have room to play, especially outdoors. Our son is very sociable and always around other children so we are quite worried he will be lonely if it is just him and a nanny (we will both be working full time) so somewhere with kids clubs or space to meet other children is also key.

From the websites PB View looks to be more child friendly with great outdoors facilities, but the toss-up for us is it is a smaller apartment and will add another 30mins each way to our daily commute. The Senayan Residence website is not great so hard to get an idea of the kids facilities there.

Does anyone have experience of either block or have any recommendation on the areas? We don't know Jakarta at all and have been given this weekend to decide. We will have to live in this home for the next 3 years so any help much appreciated!

    Thank you!

If you want a place to live in very close proximity to an international preschool for your children, you might want to discuss your relocation to The Kuningan Place, as it has http://www.royalacademy.com just inside the building. Someday in the near future

    Hi Osusanto,

To have a preschool on site would be great, however unfortunately there is no option of living somewhere other than those two places we have been offered so its just a case of choosing which out of Pakubuwono View or Senayan Residence will work best for us.

    Thanks!

What's your husband's company? It seems to offer fairly good apartments! The monthly rent of both apartments are quiet high.

I had a friend that lived in Senayan Residence a few years back and he complained of the noise coming from Red Square (a night club located in the Senayan Arcadia next to the apartment) this was a few years ago and Red square has moved to the other side of Arcadia so it no longer faces the apartments. I don't know if that resolved the noise issue, as my friend has since moved out, but you may want to check.

i've lived in Senayan Residence for 5 months as i was a fulltime personal assistant(and it was an okay-decent experience one),however my boss also owns an unit in "Pakubuwono Residence" not the Pakubuwono view one, and for the love of the god you should totally get the unit on Pakubuwono residence one! http://www.pakubuwonoresidence.com/main.html

it's different apartment, senayan residence has 3 towers and the path to the red square club one is like 5 minutes away by taxi

Ahh, I was thinking of the one directly to the left of the entrance of Senayan Arcadia.
