I am not sure that exporting furniture to Italy will work AT ALL as there is enormous factories in places like Milan who manufacture machine made reproduction period furniture which is of an extremely high standard. I am not sure as to whether or not Italians would either buy or pay the money for Indonesian hand crafted "busy" furniture at all. Handicraft might be an option. If you want to do this we have a factory in Jepara and can assist. Also we can supply teak furniture if you think you can sell it.

For wicker furniture Cirebon and Solo are the centre as you can select thousands manufacture in these towns, as for wooden furniture Jepara and Solo are the centre. You can choose adjust with your market target Low, Mid, High market, which surely relates to the prices. As for wooden furniture/indoor, if you concern with Moisture Content (especially for US Market which is very demanding/if not the most

) than 8%MC for fined-sanded unfinished furniture is the highest requirement which some of manufactures in Solo and Jepara are capable of doing these with special prices of course, since the common MC in Indonesian wooden manufacture usually range from 10-12, even for some range 14-18% (with or without buyers approval). For wicker furniture, natural or synthetic fibers are all available, imho the best price and designs for synthetic fibers are China, but for natural fibers (especially those made of rattan) is Cirebon and Solo speciality, with the new regulation from Indonesian government of the raw rattan export ban, Indonesia is still the best option for you to import the natural fiber type furniture.
