KITAS for wife that sponsored by indonesian husband

I have case that my wife from morocco , she just arrive 3 days ago with me to indonesia, she entering as tourist visa. we married legally in Congo (goverment and mosque ) on march 2008.

my question is how to arrange the KITAS for WIFE foreigner.
as she hold tourist visa now (30 days) , do we need to exit indonesia and arrange other type visa to be able get KITAS.

can we arrange KITAS with the Tourist visa now.

I already asking agent and they able to arrange with fee IDR 5.5 million and Down payment half before it.

I really need advise for those matter, since i just arrive in indonesia.

Can you confirm me:

- The Indeks and type that your wife's visa bears (usually a letter -A/B/C or D- and a number - from what you say it should be 211 since Marocco citizens are not issued visa on arrival). You will find these indications on her visa.
- if you have ever send a letter of sponsor/invitation to your wife that she eventually remitted to the KBRI in Rabat.

Can you confirm me that you are Indonesian citizen, or

If you are not an Indonesian citizen, can you confirm me your legal status here (visa type and indeks that you have if you are a foreigner).

Witout these informations, one can not give you a serious reply.

Here, you have to dig and have them listed what does it includes:
KITAS?
POA Blue Book (anywa this one being free and having no fees they should not charge it. It is covered by the KITAS fee already, but agents love to list any single document they will provide you to jutify their fees.
MERP - if yes is that single entry/exit or multiple?-
SKLD? STM? (Police declaration)
SKTT (and catatan sipil other requests)?

An agent fee by itself has no meaning. What is important is the quality of the service provided and what it includes. Roughly, if you would do it YOURSELF, it would cost you 25% of what they quoted you (for the whole list of documents I listed, and including a 1 year multiple entry/re entry permit)!

i never send invitation letter to KBRI in Rabat since they explain marocain doesnt need visa to enter indonesia.

I will discussfurther of the agent, and honestly i get this agent from news paper advertising and talk by phone with them, if you know the good agent that we can trust more please to let me know the phone/address.

one thing , do we need Kartu keluarga for arange KITAS? I have problem with my KK since i lost it and we just move from previous home (kalibata) to other place home (cibubur) and now i still hold KTP from kelurahan kaibata.

what we need to provide to arrange KITAS and how long to arrange KITAS , cause i worry her short pass visa only thirty days.

KBRI in Rabat was right but didn't give the best advice. Maroc is part of the countries whose citizen are allowed to enter Indonesia without visa. However they should have give you a better advice because this type of visa is non extendable, and not convertible in a KITAS or any other sort of visa. Therefore your wife will have to go out Indonesia, get a Sosial Budaya visa and get it transformed in a KITAS after. Applying for a KITAS directly would not change the fact that she will have to go out of Indonesia and the remaining time looks a bit short to me to try to start a KITAS procedure now, since you may be trouble because of your lost KK.

About the visa she now has here is the ongoing regulation:

KepPres nomor 18 tahun 2003 tentang Bebas Visa Kunjungan Singkat.

Pasal 3
Orang asing warga negara tertentu sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 2 ayat (1) adalah warga negara dari negara :
a. Thailand;
b. Malaysia;
c. Singapura;
d. Brunei Darussalam;
e. Philipina;
f. Hongkong Special Administration Region (Hongkong SAR);
g. Macao Special Administration Region (Macao SAR);
h. Chili;
i. Maroko;
j. Turki; dan
k. Peru.


Note: Since 2003, Vietnam dan Ecuador have been added to the list, while turkey has been removed.(Cf: KepPres nomor 103 tahun 2003 & PerPres nomor 16 tahun 2008).


Pasal 5
Bebas Visa Kunjungan Singkat sebagaimana dimaksud dalam pasal 2 dapat diberikan dalam waktu 30 (tiga puluh) hari dengan ketentuan :
a. Tidak dapat diperpanjang masa beralakunya, dan
b. Tidak dapat dialihstatuskan menjadi izin keimigrasian lainnya


If you read the article 5, it confirms what I told you: she can not convert this visa into any other type of visa (VKSB, VITAS...etc).

Start to look for a flight on www.airasia.com to Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. Kuala Limpur is somwhat better because you can get your wife's visa done in jus 1 day while they will require 3 days in Singapore to process it.

They are the one who will give the autorisation for the KITAS. You can get further contact with them on (021) 522 46 58
Telephone them, explain them your problm and ask them if you would have the time to start a KITS process for your wife before that her visa expires. It would be the best, meaning that you will have to go to Kual Lumpur to pick directly a VITAS for her, rather than a SosBud visa that you would convert later in a KITAS.

Telephone them and post me their answer. Depending what they answer, I will tell you what paper you need to prepare.

I already call to that number and the officer ask me to provide :
1.KTP
2.KK
3. legalized the acte marriage to KUA (they need the vow translate)
4. Bank account that has stamp from the bank
5.Passport

I already arrange for my KK that was lost, kelurahan promise will issued on next monday, and today I already went to KUA and they aske me to translate the acte marriage also go to Centre of KUA in Hashim ashari road, could you explain me for the VITAS, is it possible to get it so i dont need arrange visa sos bud and afterward arange KITAS.

If you get all the documents requested by the Kantor Imigrasi (the list you have posted + a Daftar Riwayat Hidup of your wife -dgn nama ibu/ayah, kebangsaan istri, pekerjaan isteri, pendidikan isteri...blablabla) on time, you can start the process to get a VITAS directly from KBRI in KL, without having to do a sosbud first, then convert it to a KITAS. Time is what will decide in your case. Your wife has only a 30 days non extendable visa. If you manage to do the whole procedure before the expiration of her visa, then it's fine. All depends on your ability to submit all the requested document fast and to deal qickly with the 3 kantor involved. It is not impossible.

The KanIm will assess all your documents, then will issue a letter that you will have to bring to the KanWil. This letter should state that they do not object about your wife's KITAS. At its turn the KanWil will issue a letter of approval that you will have to bring to the DitJen Imigrasi which should issue the final approval... and give you a letter that you will have to bring to your KanIm... They will then send a telex (at your expense) to the KBRI that you have picked, so that your wife can directly get a VITAS fom this embassy.
If you are fast, you can do the whole procedure in less than 10 days. Make sure that you have all the documents requested.
After the issuance of the VITAS and the entrance in Indonesia, your wife will have 7 days to report to the KanIm to get a KITAS (Kartu Ijin Tinggal terbatas) valid for 1 year. She will also have to get a SKLD done from the police (contact MABES POLRI), a STM done by your police resort (this is registration of her being sheltered by a WNI - you) and you will have to register her to the CaPil in a delay of 14 days after the issuance of her KITAS and request a Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal (SKTT) to be issued for her along with other documents.
All this steps and documents must be taken very seriously if you intend to get a permanent residency status (KITAP - valid 5 years) for her or the indonesian citizenship.
