Last time I went there was in what, 2007? Geez it's been four and a half years now and I just realise it. Visited an uncle who lives there for a decade now. Afterwards we went to Parijs van Java or something, well that promenade area, then off to Dago where I waited for my grandma shopping for the cheap yet very nice stuffs along the distros, oh and also one of the cafes in the height. It's cool there, so cool that at one point I asked myself if I'd ever need an aircon if I happened to live there.

If I ever come again (which is quite likely I'd say), you can be sure there will be a new PM arriving, each time my brain inputs "Bandung" and "the forum", the output will come out as "Bad_azz".

Btw you've been in Bandung for about a year, haven't you? Hasn't there been any forum gathering in the area before?

Not that I am aware of ... personally i am not looking for a "gathering", I am merely looking to enhance my social circle.

I just thought that the folks of Bandung should have a hang-out on the forum, then if they choose to meet up that is up to them.

So you think of me as the Bandung Bad_azz then huh?

I already introduced myself as a new "Bandunger" (or is it "Bandungian"? ... both sound awful ) somewhere else, but like to add in here as well. My name is Jann and I just moved with my wife and kid to Bandung. We are also happy to meet new people and - to use BA's words - "widden our social circle".

Yeah ... Bdg bule is better. Though too long for Indonesian. They like abbreviations and/or acronyms. I think we should use the individual sibyls of ban-dung and bu-le to form new words like "Banbu" or "Babu" maybe even "dungle" or "banle". These would be a more Indonesian sounding versions in my opinion.

What about too much sambal and/or cabe? Might turn out to be the "dumps" then. :X
