What is poverty?
I wondered what the correlation of religion with poverty was this afternoon and had a bit of look on the interweb to see what I could find. Poor people are more inclined to be religious as it gives them a sense of hope or some kind of solace I think as apposed to religion causing poverty, although it is evident that churches manipulate and take a great deal from the poor as well. If you believe in God you would have to say he creates poverty, illness, suffering and everything else that is cruel in the world. If you don't believe in God you will spend an eternity in pain, suffering and torture - but he is a loving God.
