Some surprising natural foods are findable in local, upscale fruit shops.
Hello,
I'm having trouble finding Natural Peanut Butter. I've always found regular JIF/Smucker's/Skippy PB, never seem to find the Natural/Organic kind.
I've tried Hero, Kem Chicks (Kemang/PP), and Ranch Market (Kemang/Pondok Indah)
Any suggestions?
It'll be more appreciated if you also mention the price.
Thanks!
< It's the one with only Peanuts and Salt (ingredients), and the oil is separated due to its lack of emulsifier. >

Yeah, not long ago I saw a site ( http://edwardmeinhold.healthcoach.in...ter-in-jakarta )
It's surprising how I can find such an item in that not-too-far-from-home store. I'll try it tonight, I guess.
Thanks everyone..![]()
Why not make your own peanut butter??

I make my own apple sauce which is much better than what comes out of a jar, natural or otherwise.
My in-laws always scoff at me when I point out peanut butter at the grocery store and say I want some... They call it too expensive and say they make it at home... And well... The home made stuff is pretty good and there's no crazy ingredients. +1 for making your own... Just hope you have the time and patience.
....Or make it and sell it.
Add this to the long list of things you're better off making yourself in Indonesia for lack of better/more convenient options.![]()
Sorry, that was a bit off topic and with a heap of inside joke added in.
I don't think organic == natural, btw. All-natural PB may not necessarily use organic peanuts and other ingredients, and likewise PB that uses organic ingredients may add other things (emulsifier, etc.) that make the end product non-natural.
With that said, i'd throw in my vote for making your own PB.
True, I understand that organic = uses organic grown main ingredient whilst natural = doesn't use those 'extra' things. That was why I mentioned the Peanuts and Salt only. And by the way, I've been considering making my own since first time. It's just that some people say all natural PB has a disgusting taste and my food processor is currently broken (got to buy the new one). So I would rather try it first from the shop than buy a new food processor, if I like it, I'll certainly make my own. I can't afford that pricy butter either for a long period of time.
One guy I dated insisted that the proper way of mixing natural PB (like the kind you get at Whole Foods) is to add some honey when you stir it. It was a source of contention in our relationship. I love the saltiness of peanut butter so I think adding honey would be a terrible idea unless you only use your PB to make Peanut Butter, Honey and Banana sandwich.
Then again, PBHB sandwiches are amazing so maybe I shouldn't have stopped dating him, after all.
