The positions are in TEFL, working with grades 7 - 9 in our middle school English department, most likely with beginner to intermediate level students.

The job involves roughly 15 contact hours/week, some extra curricular activities (with respect to this, some sort of artistic or athletic or other teachable skill or ability will count in your favour), and modest admin duties. It also involves being embedded in an entirely Korean context and sometimes being frustrated or nonplussed by it.

The salary will range from 2000-3000 USD/month. The final amount will depend on the applicant's qualifications, experience and ability.

You will need a degree and teaching experience. What you know and are able to do will become clear during the interview and 'demo' lesson. Preferable candidates would show some or much familiarity with task based learning, differentiation, metacognitive skills, CLIL, assessment, and student focused approaches to teaching, among other things.

I intent to visit Jakarta again this summer (or next week) for my fiancee who is working as an English teacher in an International School.
I intend to relocate by June after our wedding. I am a male English Major graduate and have my Masters in Special Education in one of the State Universities in the Philippines. I been looking for a school in JAKARTA area with Special Education program and current vacancy or possible expansion. Any school you can recommend? I heard CITA BUANA is ok but failed to visit it last time. I have a three years experience in handling Autistic Spectrum Disorder- ASD, from early intervention up to adult program. with created program on Art in Special Education.
