Yamaha should definitely introduce the vtwin250 to the indo market http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=yam...r:12,s:0,i:109
Thanks Jstar for the explanation, I knew knlapot was meaning exhaust... that is why I was mess up trying to understand what they were saying, YSS is a "shockbreker" manufacturer only.
Writing "Knalpot YSS Mono shock untuk SCORPIO - Rp 640.000,-" make absolutely no sense!!!
Must be the TII
Also, on this site, they give no explanation at all about the product they sold (hydrolic - gas - series?)
I will see what I can find![]()

There is more than one incomprehensible thing in the motorcycle market of Indonesia.
From my own taste, I don't like the antiquity style called by many "custom".
When you know the first "custom" was in realality a moto-cross... Anyway...
In Indonesia it really have a market for this style of motorcycle - it's part of the indonesian self conflict of dreaming to be American while hating them in same time (yah yah... I exagerated a lot, but it's easier to make understand my point like that)
Why they don't bring any small custom here?
Why they don't sell any "adventurer" style (it's road (sport) or off-road oriented bike, nothing really good for all-round "adventure" bike)?
Why people who have cash, buy only none sense motorcyle for the road of indonesia like super sport or big touring bike?
Why they develop motorcycle like the XT250 Ténéré or the YBR250 (with a 20L tank) for brazil and don't bring them in Indo (and other country)?
Why Yamaha design a brand new bison 150cc with 17 inch "wide" tire, while the bigger ScorpioZ 225cc still have 18 inch thin tire?
I have no answer for all this question!

Hello,
As this is the most recent and active thread on bikes, I 'll post my question here. :-)
I own a 250CC bike in Japan that I would like to ship to Indonesia. I will not enter this bike in traffic, I do not want insurance on and I will not register it , I just want to bring it here. (It is a race bike, I have the Japanese title.)
Is there some knowledge available on shipping bikes into Indonesia ? Tips welcomes.
J.
Hi Jean
I have start this forum (http://www.livinginindonesiaforum.or...-in-Indonesia?) some time ago, it will answer some of your question.
These tread too contain some info, but less specific than the first tread (http://www.livinginindonesiaforum.or...orbike-models?)
For resume:
If you have another option: use it!
Officially, no used vehicle (car, motor, etc.) or use vehicle part can can cross the border.
I have heard of some "exception" (if you are ready to pay...), one of them take almost a year for being able to have his car release by the border and still not able to plate it.
I expect it would be as hard to take it out of the country than it was to bring it in.

Hi,
This is a used bike, it is from 1991. Do the limitation for importing bikes also hit bikes that are 250CC and below ? I thought it was only over 250CC?
If it is as hard to get it out of the country, I am not going to bring it in
J.
Unfortunately it hurt everything.
and... if they smell money... they will do everything for have some grab on it!
Personally, I will not try it.

Suzuki are bringing out the Inazuma 250 soon. It looks very common in shape like a typical hond tiger but its a twin piston setup much similar to the ninja. Would like to see how it compares performance wise?
Suzuki have also already released the Lets (i dont know where they get their silly names from?). Its a competitor for the honda scoopy and yamaha fino. It looks to be using the same engine as the suzuki NEX, so that means it will get the excellent petrol consumption of around 80km/l in addition to the retro styling. I personally think its better looking than the competitors as well, especially the black motif.
Suzuki seem to always lag behind in sales and have low resale value, yet they always seem to have more to offer than its competitors. I find this puzzling
Inazuma... nice little bike! I put it on my list for next christmas!
From what I read on the net... they set it up for being more "low speed" enjoyable.
The torq is sensibly same than the ninja but at 6500 rpm compare to the 8200 of the ninja.
The only thing I don't really like: double exhaust
When you have an introductory text that said: we use lot of aluminum for save weight... using dual exhaust it's like to say: and we put 2 exhaust for gain back all the saved weight!!! (it's not aluminum light exhaust - it's cheap steel exhaust, it's heavy!)
Like every new bike, it's hard to find reliable information (many are contradictory). The japanese website have only few detail about it's specification. They said 183kg... I can't read japanese, can't know if it's with all fluid or not. I hope it's with all the fluid and it have a big big tank.![]()
