Hi guys,

A couple of months have passed, and me and my company have been busy finalising the last pieces in the contract that we have signed in Jakarta. I would just like to tell you that finally everything is set, and me and my family will fly to Jakarta on Monday. Now that the decision is made, we (as in me, my wife and kids) are all super-excited and really look forward to spending half a year in Indonesia. We will be living in Pondok Indah, and our office will be in Senayan.

I will probably post more questions on this forum in the time to come, so you are hereby warned ;-)

I hope you keep an open mind and an open heart for the country.

Well, I gotta tell you runejor, I am with Puspawarna on this one. Six months is a good length of time to get to know a place and still retain your sanity if it doesn't work out. I am a bit biased I suppose having spent 20 years in the navy but I think it is a wonderful opportunity to see a totally different part of the world. I think you are overthinking this, just relax and enjoy a wonderful experience and as you said, the company is doing all the hard work for you and the family. You will look back on it in years to come and perhaps it will also inspire you to travel even more.
