    Default Celebrating New Year

How are you guys celebrating New Year's and where? My first New Year here and not knowing many people yet, thinking of visiting one of those hotels that celebrate them. Any experiences on this? Any suggestions are welcome....and invites too ;-)

I would normally organise house parties with close friends and family on NYE and it usually involved midnight BBQ and booze, hahaha. Unfortunately I will not be in Indonesia to celebrate the transition to 2012. Else I'd invite you as you seem a cool chick!

That sounds really cozy and fun. Thanks for the thought...wish you were still here then I think you're 'equally' cool (mutual admiration society anyone?) ;-) among many other females here.

Anyway, we did get an invite (and w/o prodding or hinting, even! ) from an acquaintance to spend it in Crowne Plaza and booked a room in the process. We have heard how horrendous traffic can be on that day.

Have a great New Year in London (is it?) and a wonderful 2012!

Hi Vie-yu - are you in Jakarta? I can hook you up with a single (female, cool and fun) Filipina friend of mine whose spending it in a bar called Otel in Taman Rasuna. It is apparently new and owned by the Bakrie group. One of the partners is married to a Filipina and the bar/resto's chef is a Filipino. Could be fun. She's great fun and have been out with her a few times visiting discos.

Let me know so I can give her a head's up and give you her number. Have a great New Year!

Bakrie Group -- they probably water the booze.

Sometimes company matters more than watered down booze. Water can turn into wine in great company, if you ask me.

Yep, I'll be in London to celebrate. Yes, traffic is even more appalling on NYE - glad you're not driving home after the party!

Are you around on 20th Jan? I'm holding a little get together with a few other forumers in Jakarta during my short visit. Would love to meet you with or without your hubby!

    Have a fab-tastic 2012!
