Sorry Millie, I didnt notice that the post went on to a second page. This seems like a good place to find a job, I'll keep checking. I was hoping to hear one way or the other though, If my not having a degree would exclude me from consideration. Any thoughts on that?
At 56 does anyone really rely on what they learned at a university? I wont put that in my resume.

Hi Scot, sorry for the slow response but I haven't visited the forum for a while. I agree that a degree doesn't necessarily make someone better qualified for the job, but we can't get a work permit for someone without submitting a copy of a degree. So no, sorry, it can't be done

Millie, Is it a copy of the degree that is required or a copy of transcripts? Thanks!

I completly agree with you. Spoken English is different than writen English, to be able to correct writen mistakes one has to have a broad knowledge of the language, that doesn't mean that the person MUST be native, not at all, I know 'locals' that can't spell.

Hi Scot, a copy of the degree is required - the manpower ministry won't accept a transcript only - we tried that in Dec and they insisted on the degree

Last year I completed my doctorate, I have experience in journalism and I desperately need to find a job in order to prolong my stay in this wonderful country. I have just sent two emails to [email protected]. These include scanned attachments of my undergraduate and doctoral degrees, as well as my c.v. I hope to hear from you soon. All the best, Craig
