    Hello everyone,

I'm also going to live in Makassar, for 6 months. It's for my internship. I'll arrive August the 15th, are any of you guys still in Makassar at that time to show me the city. I'm 18 years old btw and from the Netherlands.

I'm really excited but have actually no idea in what kind of city I'll arrive in.

Hope to see some of you in Makassar.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

I'm planning to move to Makassar for work sometime in September. I will be bringing my children, ages 13-15. I have never been to Indonesia and have been trying to do some house hunting online, but I've found almost nothing. We've lived in other foreign countries and I've usually been able to search homes/apartments online, then make appointments to see them. It sounds like it's quite a bit different in Makassar?? But also, I see the post above lists prices of 1200 to 1500 per year??? Are you sure that's per year and not per month???? If that's per year, it seems very inexpensive.

Also, does anyone know if there are expat communities, or neighborhoods or "ghettos" where many expats tend to live?

    Thanks!!
I am sorry, I am too late to respond I am quite busy a few these days. Have you had found a place to live? just let me know so I can help. You can PM me too Mr. Andrew. Thanks

    Hi everybody !
We'll stay in MKS for 2 or 3 years. I'm looking for a house, 3 bedrooms at least, in Tanjung Bunga area.
Ideally, european style wich means space downstairs and a view over a little garden.
I saw some very nice in Elysium Komplek, but I'm not able to find the owner's name and the marketing doesn't seem to know very much. As you said that the best way to find was to talk around you about your needs... So here am I ! If anybody can help me to find something in the Tanjung Bunga area... I would be very grateful ! And if you leave here, that would be a pleasure to meet you too of course !
    Thanx in advance

    Hello, everybody
I will next week go to Makassar business, hoping to rent a safe, clean apartment, if you know some Mandarin-speaking friends, all the better. As we all know from where you can rent an apartment or help us about. My name is danny,. If you have a nice apartment can give me an e-mail, and also hope to know more friends. My e-mail address[email protected]. Thank you very much!

Kareba Seafood Park, that's the bar name, placed beside Losari Beach Hotel.
