Ya, all bules look alike, think the same, and prefer the company of our inbred brethren. I guess the secret's out.
Ga begitu juga...
Well the thing is we Indonesians don't share the same mother tongue with those from other countries except perhaps Malaysians and some Singaporeans to some extent. Thus I can only wonder whether you all from the Anglosphere are bound by the language when you meet one another somewhere in a foreign country.

Not to belabor the obvious, but in a word, No.
just my opinion... brits usually feel quite refreshed to hang around with other brits from time to time, because even though other mainland europeans can usually speak as good english as us give or take, they are still different. french have a completely different culture to brits, brits have a completely different culture to italians, italians have a completely different culture to germans, etc...
although british are probably the most cosmopolitan 'exposed' out of europe (at least those who grew up or have lived in london) and very easily adaptable (depends who though), we are still an island nation, and have a subtle difference beyond the food and language differences, that usually only other brits can understand.
plus there is nothing better than having a good old complain over a cup of tea, about anything and everything.
i'm not a negative person, but sometimes i do miss the witty banter of traditional british complaining. usually while queuing up for something
although when i get to Indonesia next month, i have no intention of hanging around any expats other than for work or coincidencei want to become an Indonesian
