You should go to Pinangsia... That's the center for these kinds of stuffs...

Thanks Roy. What and where is this Pinangsia? I googled it and the results are noodle restaurant and some area called Pinangsia. Is the latter what you are referring to?

Pinangsia is the name of the area... Its infront of Glodok Plaza (Pinangsia Plaza - Glodok)... In this area the whole street is filled with shops selling those kinds of items... From the least expensive brands to the most expensive brands... So you can go from shop to shop for a good bargain on the stuffs you need...

From Tiles/Marbles (Local or Imported) to Bathroom Fittings & Acesories (Local or Imported) are all there... Its the center for those kinds of stuffs...

That road is called Jalan Pinangsia Raya...

If you're going by cab just tell the driver Pingangsia - Glodok... He'll know it...

Yes, Roy is right: these small shops have all the stuff and brands that Ace has but cheaper. Bit of a messy area but let that not intimidate you, it's pretty safe. Prices are negotiable. Also in the inside area with multiple floors (it's a chaotic shopping mall) you will find a lot of tiny stores.

If you are looking for major kitchen appliances, building materials, fixtures, sinks, and the sorts of things that are incorporated and fixed, Jalan Pinangsia is a good place. Similar offerings, at a little more money, possibly, are available on Jalan Panglima Polim. Panglima Polim in South Jakarta may be a bit more convenient than Glodok for some.

If you are looking for pots and pans, and other cooking accessories, try Pantry Magic in Kemang. Keep in mind the Kemang = expensive. http://www.pantry-magic.com/index.php
