Ok we've all done something similar look for something to make it different, and in your shot you have the perfect thing to do that. The road sign says "No stopping" why you did not put that in the foreground and then take a similar shot, then it would be better.
The shot of the Porsche is a bit flat, needs better lighting , background distracts, for those side on views of cars you need to think about that

thanks...? Wasn't expecting to be critiqued, guess that's what happens when you share photos. Sorry I lack your expectations of a good photo.
I like the Porsche photo, I like those cars... My wife is well aware of what could be better, but this is what we have. As for the long exposure, I think that may have been my second outting in taking a long exposure shot... I like the pic as I took it and it reminds me of where I once lived.
Where's your pics?

It is only critique, dont take it personal, I have no expectations, just trying to offer a viewpoint, and help you to improve.
Gave up photography after my last exhibition in Tokyo, when I realised I was not as good as I wanted to be.
Nice car by the way, I had the targa top 911 for a few years

We can't always take perfect pictures. I don't think k&m meant to ridicule you, just some constructive criticsI personally quite like the Porsche pic. I think the white color of the car and cleanliness of it makes it stand out from the cluttered background. Also, my dad had one of these in red, brings back childhood memories.
EG, for obvious reasons i try not to show my pics other than those i consider my very best. I am, rather painfully, aware of the shortcomings of the Porsche pics as noted by k&m and i personally wouldn't pick that one to be shared on here, but OomBen--i suppose from being a Porsche enthusiast--loved it. But the photo is what it is, and i already explained the circumstances surrounding the time it was taken. I can't change those, and we didn't take the car or pick the location for the photo; it was a candid. Of course k&m has no way of knowing that, and i already gave my explanation, so that's all there is to it for me.
As for the criticisim, perhaps k&m was aiming for brevity but i felt that the straight criticism sans any acknowledgment as to what could be the more attractive points of a photo can come across as being curt and a buzzkill...
But really, i'm over it.![]()
